Twelve more days till Christmas … ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!
I just can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. I am so very thankful for all my amazing clients and this blog post is no exception! Once again, by the graces of all things social media, I have been reconnected with friends from many moons ago. Tom and I have known each other since middle school - Michelle and I, high school! I am so honored when old friends I haven’t seen in years ask me to capture special moments for them!
Here is a sneak peak of our portrait session this weekend!

Lindsey Rae

I had such an amazing afternoon with these two lovely ladies last weekend! It was an absolutely perfect day for making photographs with Lucy & Valerie. These gals have teamed up and joined their creative genius to fashion for us some amazing products. The photographs we took are to accompany their product website which will be launching just in time for the holidays!

It is always nice to take a weekend to get a way and unwind. Seriously, the last 4 months have been crazy for me and so I took a much-needed trip to visit with of my best friends, Lucy Blaire Bohnsack-Matthews!! If you follow my blog or my Facebook fan page, you know I am a BIG fan of Lucy’s hand*made delights. She is a mastermind of color and design, so if you are looking for unique and creative bridal party gifts (guys and gals!) or maybe you have started your holiday shopping … LOOK HER UP!! I promise you won’t regret it ;)
We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weekend to capture some photographs of her and her husband Ben!
Enjoy!

Lia & Liam were married at the Red Lion Inn & Resort this October and it was a perfect venue for their gorgeous fall wedding. Not-to-mention the weather and the warm fall colors of the landscape were amazing!
I could rattle on about how much fun it was to work with Lia, Liam, their families and friends, or how breathtaking the love between Lia & Liam is; but I think it would be more fun to let the pictures do the talking!
Enjoy!

First, I would like to thank Facebook for reuniting me with someone I’ve known since 4th grade. You know, that was only back in 1991 … *gulp* … no big deal, right?!
Anyhow, I was really happy to hear from Missy a month ago or so, when she messaged me to see if we could set up a family session! She had just moved to Rhode Island, from California, and wanted to have their first family picture taken to show off the state they now call home.
It was so much fun to catch up with you, Missy!

When I was in college, one of my favorite Professors referred to sunrise and sunset light as “sucker light.” Meaning, there was no way you could screw up the picture you were making at these times, unless you just had no idea what you were doing. I am always trying to pass this idea on to my students. As a Professor, I constantly ask them to think about color and the quality of light as a way to evoke a mood. As artists and professional photographers, it is our responsibility to have the skills to communicate VISUALLY!
And so today, for your viewing pleasure, we have Courtney and Brian’s engagement session!! When Courtney and I were setting up this session, she mentioned that she and Brian love the fall and wanted to find a way to incorporate fall-like colors. The first location, which came to mind, was The Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm in Peabody. Last year I photographed a wedding there, so I knew it was a GOLD MINE of luscious landscape views to help me make photographs!!!
Courntey and Brian, you totally ROCKED this session!!
Enjoy!!! J

Lindsey Rae

When I first met Lynne, I knew we were going to work SO well together …
- Reason #1: Lynne is a High School Art Teacher (My Mom is a teacher and being a teacher myself, I have a soft spot for them)
- Reason #2: Lynne and her family are Bruins Fans … (Like a whole room dedicated to Bruins paraphernalia kinda fans) ... and I LOVE the Bruins!!!
- Reason #3: A lot of the details, which made their wedding day special, were hand made by Lynne (I am a HUGH fan of DIY projects!!!)
Lynne and Brian had such a stress-free, relaxed, perfect wedding day. Although it rained early in the morning, it held off long enough for us to capture some beautiful images of their day! Check out the amazing colors, creative details, and of course, the love (and fun) Lynne and Brian share with their family and friends!!!
xoxo,
Lindsey Rae

HOLY HOTNESS!!! I am so proud of these pictures and so sharing them with you is pure delight ;) As all of us New Engalnder’s know, the weather here has been less than ok. In fact it’s been down right dreary; rain one day, cold the next and then BAM … heat wave. Needless to say, I wasn’t surprise when the weather station called for rain the day of Jaimie and Rafael’s photo shoot. We started at the beach, even though it was super cloudy and spiting rain at us, it was what I call a “giant soft box” outside, which is PERFECT for portraits. Once it started to really rain we packed up, drove to Black Falcon Pier over in the south end, and defied Mother Nature!
Enjoy the photographs!

Lindsey Rae
