For the last 4 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching undergraduate and adult education photography classes. To teach something I love to others, who are starting a journey that could quite possibly change their own life path, is extremely rewarding.
Enter Amy. She was driven, talented, and hilarious! So needless to say, I loved having her in class. But I never knew that a couple years later, I would be the one to photograph her wedding. Such an honor … and a hell-of-a-good-time! So before I start rambling on about how awesome Amy and Andrew’s wedding was or how much I love teaching, let’s get on to the pictures. I know they will make you smile 🙂
Lace wedding gown + blush rose shoes = perfection!
When I arrived Amy and her crew were all smiles.
It was an overcast day, but the light that was coming through the window was beautiful.
I love the reds and yellows popping behind Amy, but most of all I love how beautiful she is! Look at those eyes!!
Holy Hot Tamale, Andrew! Love the tux.
aaannnnnd … back to this beauty!
These bridesmaids were gorgeous and so fun to work with!
St. Catherine’s Church in Norwood. Three generations of Amy’s family have been married here!
Amy’s Dad wins the “Cutest Dad” award for this season. Seriously, he was also all smiles, the entire day, and you could tell how proud he was of his daughter. These shots were taken by my lovely second shooter, Aubrey!
One of Amy’s friends ordered this custom made pillow off of Etsy, it’s adorable!
Amy and Andrew’s ceremony was beautiful. Amy’s Uncle Daniel, who is a Deacon in Duxbury, proceeded over the ceremony. It was such a lovely touch and made the exchanging of vows all the more personal.
After the ceremony we rushed over to Spring Valley Country Club to capture some photographs of our newly weds before the rain unleashed it’s furry on us.
Seriously, you two … you just make me smile 🙂
I loved how the subtle wind puffed out Amy’s veil here … beautiful!
Ugh, I love this one!
Another favorite 🙂
I’ve decided when I get married, I want to get married in the fall! The colors are just ridiculous!
Judy, of Judy’s Village did such an amazing job on Amy’s bouquet.
It started to rain when it was time to photograph the bridal party, so we moved in doors for a classy and sophisticated shot.
and then it stopped raining, so we went back out doors for something a little more fun 😉 Heyyy, girlsss!
The bridesmaids’ bouquet, so pretty!
I love a bridal party with a lot of sass … my kinda party!
I love men in tuxes. That’s all I’m sayin’
Amy’s details were very elegant, it all went perfectly with the decor of Spring Valley.
First dance as Mr. & Mrs. LeRoy!! Love it!
Okay. So I already confessed that Amy’s Dad wins the “Cutest Dad” award, but after this … choreographed dance, which included your typical slow song, transitioned into a country line dance, into Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and then the super sweet “I loved her first …” by Heartland … ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Absolutely, takes the cake!
and if you needed a break from dancing, there was a cigar roller on the back deck, ready to roll a cigar right there in front of you!
Back to dancing!
Amy made a special request to have a photo-booth, which is something I’ve never offered before. I aim to please, so I was happy to help her make it happen and I am so glad I did!
Of course I had to try it out with two of my favorite couples of this season! From left to right; Andrew, Amy, Yours Truly, Lindsey, and Matt!
