The last two months have been a whirlwind of fun, excitement, and … well, surprises!! I’ve been wanting to post these pictures for weeks, in some cases months! However, with wedding season in full effect, they just had to wait. Patiently, of course 😉
Back in April, Jon and I vacationed in the Bahamas with my Dad’s side of the family. In a word it was stupendous! Perfect weather, blue skies, warm water, and a magnificent view. Here are some snip snaps from our vacation, albeit from my iPhone, but I think you’ll see what I am talking about! If you scroll your mouse over the thumbnails and click, it will open the pictures up.
Shortly after we returned home from the Bahamas, my youngest sister, Bre, celebrated not one, but TWO proms! She was a radiant beauty and I was so happy to see her so excited. Here Bre is posing with her two favorite Dudes … our bother Matty and of course Jon 🙂
The next weekend I had the distinct honor of being dubbed “Godmother” to a sweet, super smart, and oh-so-adorable little girl named Marian. You might recognize her from the newborn session I posted a couple months ago where I had her in a suitcase?! She’s a good sport 🙂 Her Mom and my super creative, crafty friend, Lucy, did such a wonderful job on everything!! I mean seriously, who single-highhandedly paints over 50 wooden utensils for their daughters baptism?!!? Correct answer, Lucy! Makes since though since she is a super popular and sought after writer of all things handmade! Check out more of her work on her website! Here are some photographs from Marian’s baptism we were able to capture before she zonked out!
She is too stinkin’ cute!!
A very happy Mom, Dad, and Marian.
We’re too cool with our pink outfits 😉
Yea, I know … I am kid crazy!
I guess you could say May was a super busy month for us! You see the weekend after Marian’s baptism, we put our dance shoes on (and my camera) and headed to Gloucester to help Jen & Jeremy celebrate (and photograph) their wedding day! It was amazing!! I’ll save you from all my oooooing and ahhhhhing … seeing as I’ve already done that here.
The day after the wedding Jon’s Mom, cousins, and I hit the mean streets of Rockport for a little seaside shopping. Here is a snip-it from our adventures …
We returned home Sunday afternoon and promptly crashed on the couch, where we stayed most of the night. The next day we (ahem, I) woke up early to pack for our next adventure, New York City!!! If you haven’t discovered this by now, then here is a fun tidbit about me … I have a bazillion siblings. Seriously!
Okay, Okay … maybe not a bazillion, but when you have 4 siblings that are all close enough in age that graduations and proms run into and around each other, it feels like you have that many! As it turns out, two of my sisters graduated within 5 days of each other, one before Memorial Day weekend in Maryland and the other after, in NYC.
Anyways, I digress …
You see something super amazing and TOTALLY unexpected happened that Monday morning and I will forever remember it for the rest of my life! As I was frantically running around the apartment; packing, backing up files, feeding our cat, and checking a few last minute messages … Jon had his own plan set in motion.
I had just sprung up from the couch after answering an email on my phone and Jon comes over and says, “I need you to sit down, I’ve got to talk to you about something, and it is really important.”
Ha! I figured he was just trying to get me to take a moment and chill out … perhaps tell me he loves me … or tell me something to make me laugh. You know, cute couple stuff. What I didn’t expect (at all!) was for him to pull a ring from behind his back and ask me to MARRY HIM!! I was happy, excited, and oh-so-surprised! The only words I could seem to muster up and say were “Shut up!” Classy, I know. But, like I said I was totally taken off guard. I preceded to cry, laugh, and run away from Jon … well that is how he likes to tell the story … I was just so overwhelmed with joy that started pacing the apartment.
The next 3-4 hours in the car to NYC were filled with phone calls, text message and of course, preliminary wedding planning … I am a wedding photographer, so I may have been thinking about this day already 😉 So, here are a few pictures from Kelley’s graduation and engagement celebrations …
This picture was actually taken mere minutes before he proposed … gah! I love him 🙂

The picture we took of our first toast as an engaged couple 🙂 <3
So there you have it! My life, the last two months, in a nut-shell. I one happy girl who is surrounded by love.
Next up on the blog?! Sarah & Andy’s Rustic Wedding in Southwick 🙂
